Position Summary The Construction Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of wind turbine decommissioning projects across multiple states. This role is responsible for leading field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to client specifications. The Construction Manager serves as the link between corporate leadership and site teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of project goals while driving compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Oversight • Manage all phases of construction and decommissioning, from mobilization to demobilization. • Lead site teams, including Superintendents, Foremen, Operators, and Recycling Technicians. • Coordinate with Project Managers to align field execution with project scope, budget, and schedule. • Conduct daily site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance. • Serve as the primary point of contact for field crews and subcontractors. Safety & Compliance • Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state-specific regulations. • Lead site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses. • Ensure environmental regulations are met, including SWPPP, hazardous material handling, and recycling documentation. • Collaborate with the QHSE Manager on audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions. Resource Management • Oversee deployment and utilization of labor, equipment, and materials. • Work with logistics teams to schedule cranes, trucks, and heavy machinery. • Manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Budget & Reporting • Track job costs and report variances to Project Managers and leadership. • Ensure accurate documentation for payroll, per diem, and equipment mobilization. • Provide weekly updates on project status, schedule, and financial performance. Client & Stakeholder Relations • Serve as the on-site representative for client interactions and inspections. • Address client concerns promptly while maintaining strong professional relationships. • Ensure project documentation and deliverables meet client expectations. Continuous Improvement • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. • Mentor field leaders and develop future construction leadership talent. • Support strategic growth initiatives and future expansion planning.
