Structural Steel Welder Job post summary Job description: Superior Iron Works Inc. is a growing AISC certified miscellaneous metals/ structural steel fabricator and erector in the DC, VA & MD areas. We are currently looking for full-time motivated individuals interested in metal fabrication and welding. Primary duties include: • Welding, forming, rolling, grinding, cutting and sanding metal, and general labor. • Measuring, laying out, aligning, and fitting fabricated metal work according to blueprints. • Positioning metal work with overhead crane or forklift. • Preparing steel for welding using grinder, etc. • Welding in accordance to the blueprints and specifications. • Finishing metal work (clean slag, splatter, or excess weld) • Cleaning and housekeeping activities. High school diploma or GED preferred (but not required). One year of welding experience is required to be considered for this position. Day shift hours are 7am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday Compensation will be determined based on experience and skill level. Must have own transportation.
