Education and Experience (required): • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of 3 years of Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) or Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding experience. • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating power brakes, shears and bench machines. • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume, and to apply concepts of basic mathematics • Certificate in Welding Technology or related. • American Welding Society (AWS) Certification. • Accurate interpretation of work orders and collaboration with co-workers and QA associates. • Work within the parameters of an estimate and work order. • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions, read and interpret • Ability to use measurement tools such as a tape measure and occasionally, a dial caliber, plus welding, and torch equipment • Attention to all safety policies, programs, and practices is a must • Basic computer skills are needed for reviewing and performing shop orders Physical Requirements • While performing the duties of this job, the assembler requires repetitive motions, lifting, squatting, kneeling, bending, walking, torquing, pulling, carrying, pulling, crouching, backward positions, and standing for extended periods. • Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs.
