Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and certified Welder / Semi-Trailer Repair Technician to join our maintenance team in Hagerstown, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have experience welding and repairing various types of heavy-duty truck trailers, including Lowboys, RGNs, flatbeds, and flip axle trailers. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform general repairs on air brake systems, tires, hubs, and electrical components. Key Responsibilities: • Perform structural and component welding repairs on a variety of trailers • Repair and maintain air brake systems, including valves, lines, and chambers • Diagnose and fix issues related to tires, hubs, axles, and suspensions • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including lighting and wiring • Inspect trailers for wear, damage, and DOT compliance Interpret technical drawings and service manuals • Use appropriate tools and equipment including welders, jacks, and diagnostic tools • Maintain accurate repair logs and documentation • Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment • Collaborate with team members and complete repairs efficiently and on time Qualifications: • Certified Welder with experience in MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in trailer repair and welding • Proficient in working with various metals (steel, aluminum, etc.) • Strong understanding of air brake systems, trailer suspension, and electrical systems Ability to read technical documents and follow safety regulations • Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience in fleet maintenance or logistics operations • CDL or ability to safely move trailers in the yard (not required, but a plus) • Additional technical certifications (e.g., ASE) are beneficial Compensation & Schedule: • Hourly Rate: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications) • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday • Location: Hagerstown, MD • Additional Benefits: o Potential for overtime, based on workload Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Ability to Commute: • Hagerstown, MD 21740 (Required) Work Location: In person
