RESPONSIBILITIES • Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis • Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality • Perform all position welding following prescribed procedures • Must be able to position fabricated components in fit-up jigs and fixtures and use turning rigs when necessary • Responsible for the high quality of product and good safety habits • Responsible for the safety and training of others • Responsible for compliance with all documented procedures and employee handbook • Responsible for the quality and quantity of the finished product • Responsible for creating and maintaining a working team environment • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping • Responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment • Responsible for safety, quality, and production with limited supervision • Able and required to weld all products within the business unit • Must be willing to cross train and fill in as necessary in other departments • Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Team Leader QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of 1 year welding experience • Be able to read assemblies, and welds from blueprints • Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded • Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage • Must be able to read a tape measure and be trained to operate overhead crane

Experience: • 2-3 years welding experience in a manufacturing environment. • Proficient at aluminum GMAW and steel GMAW. • Interpretation of weld symbols. Physical Demands: Highly physical, ability to lift 50 pounds. Metal fabrication in a production environment. Exposure to weld fumes, spatter, etc. Work Environment: Manufacturing environment. Safety shoes, eye and ear protection required.
