About the position Responsibilities • Setting up welding leads and grounds • Studying blueprints or project specifications and calculating dimensions of parts being welded • Measuring and cutting weld material to desired lengths using a torch or electric saw • Inspecting grooves, angles, or gap allowances using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments • Laying out, positioning, and securing parts and assemblies according to specifications using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler Requirements • Background check and drug screen required • Strong work ethic • Ability to focus on details at all times • Ability to lift 50 pounds to load and unload materials • Ability to work in varying inside and/or outside temperatures, including extreme heat and cold • Must be able to pass a welder test Benefits • Medical insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Short term disability • Paid days off • Generous paid sick leave days
