Key Responsibilities: • Perform MIG and/or stick welding in accordance with AWS D1.1 structural welding code standards. • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Set up welding equipment and select proper materials, techniques, and tools for the job. • Ensure strong, precise, and visually acceptable welds on a variety of metal components. • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of completed welds for quality assurance. • Maintain equipment, tools, and a clean work environment to ensure safety and efficiency. • Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production schedules and quality goals. • Follow all company safety protocols and contribute to a culture of workplace safety. • Complete accurate documentation of weld procedures and inspection reports as needed. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Current AWS D1.1 Certification required. • Proven experience in structural welding (MIG, stick, or flux-core) in a production or fabrication environment. • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols. • Strong understanding of weld quality and inspection criteria. • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment. • Excellent teamwork, attention to detail, and communication skills. • Willingness to work swing shift and occasional overtime as production demands.
