Job Summary: The MIG and TIG Welder will assemble pieces of metal together or repair damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. Duties/Responsibilities: • Reads blueprints and drawings and takes or reads measurements to plan layout and procedures. • Determines appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. • Sets up components for welding according to specifications. • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded. • Aligns components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamps pieces. • Welds components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions. • Tests and inspects welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws. • Grinds and finishes parts. • Operates welding equipment and other machinery in a safe manner. • Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all work stations. • Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor. MIG, TIG). • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment. • Ability to successfully pass a weld test. Preferred Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Welding school certification. • Knowledge of brazing and press brake operations. • Forklift certification.
