About the Position • We are looking for an experienced Class 1 skilled Fabricator/ Plater that will be responsible for performing a variety of fabricating and welding activities to support the manufacturing facility using Carbon, Stainless Steels & High Nickel Alloys. We will require you to have a strong understanding of processes and materials to fulfil delivery of Flare Tips, Power Burner, Process Burners, Skids and Pressure Vessel fabrications. Your ability to interpret engineering drawings to determine materials and cutting lists as well as planning task sequences will be crucial. Key to this role will be your ability to determine priorities to ensure continuous workflow between disciplines ultimately achieving target dates and on time delivery. Roles and Responsibilities • Interpret isometric and engineering drawings to fabricate parts. • Fabricate parts accurately from detailed drawings. • Understand both imperial and metric dimensions. • Prepare parts for welding, including sawing, drilling, grinding, pipe bending, and threading. • Perform or prepare for Class 1 / ISO 3834 welding activities, including understanding and interpreting Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). Weld joints (fillet, lap, corner, and butt, open and double-sided) in compliance with ASME IX and ISO 15614 standards. About You • Fabricating Expertise: Proven experience in fabricating within sectors such as Oil & Gas, Pipefitting, Pressure Vessel, or similar environments. • Engineering Drawings Proficiency: Strong capability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings. • Educational Background: GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (Grades A-C). • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management. • Team Orientation: Reliable team player with a solid track record of punctuality and excellent attendance. • Organisational Skills: Highly organized, efficient, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. • Confidence and Initiative: Assertive with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and conscientious, focused on maintaining high-quality standards. • Licensing Requirements: Valid Driving License is essential; Forklift License is a plus.
