As a Welder at MKD Electric, you will be responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at our climate-controlled facilities or customer sites. Responsibilities • Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures , • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements , • Set up components for welding according to specifications , • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded , • Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces , • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) , • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps , • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws , • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety , • Work in a climate-controlled environment Requirements • Proven experience as a welder , • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, MMAW, MIG etc.) , • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.) , • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings , • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) , • Deftness and attention to detail , • Proficient in English , • Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required , • Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus , • Must be safety conscious Nice-to-haves • Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus Benefits • On the job training with fully accredited training programs , • Eligibility to Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits and 401K with company match , • Access to opportunities to expand your skill set and share your knowledge with others across the organization , • Company culture of promotions from within, with a start-up atmosphere allowing for varied and rapid career growth & development , • Flexible vacation and parental leave

About the position GROOT is seeking a skilled Container Welder to join our team in Elgin, IL. The role involves building and repairing metal containers and compactors, ensuring equipment is organized and maintained in a safe working order. This full-time position offers a competitive starting pay and a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday. Vibratory Feeder Bowl Builder - Fabricator - Welder

Vibratory Feeder Bowl Builder – Fabricator - Welder United Toolers of Illinois (UTI), located in Loves Park, IL, builds high-quality vibratory and rotary feeder systems. Bowl Builders/Welders are responsible for fabricating and assembling vibratory and rotary feeder machines for the automation industry. Bowl Builders use various fabricating equipment for cutting, fitting and welding workpieces on feeders to orient plastic or metal components at the required speeds. Previous experience building and fabricating vibratory and rotary feeder machines is required. What you will do: • Fabricate and assemble vibratory and rotary feeder machines • Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto workpiece • Responsibilities include TIG welding, bending, shearing, and forming a variety of metals from mild steel to aluminum and stainless steel • Set up and operate fabricating equipment such as brakes, rolls, shears, mill, and drill press • Select and set up welding equipment, weld workpieces manually to the vibratory feeder and examines welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications • Test, troubleshoot and modify feeder bowls to meet required performance and specifications What you will bring: • 3-6 years' experience building/fabricating vibratory and rotary feeders • TIG welding on stainless and mild steel • Basic machine shop experience is useful • Must have a valid Illinois driver license and must maintain a good driving record United Toolers of Illinois compensation decisions are based on relevant factors such as job-related skills, experience and education or training.
