Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using various welding techniques. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency in multiple welding processes. The Welder will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality standards and safety protocols are met. Duties • Perform welding tasks using methods such as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, Mig Welding and soldering. • Operate power tools and equipment including plasma cutters and micrometers to ensure precise measurements and cuts. • Build and assemble metal components according to specifications outlined in blueprints or technical drawings. • Conduct pipe threading as required for various projects. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines. • Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring all welds meet industry standards. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Welder with strong skills in various welding techniques. • Familiarity with operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is preferred. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. • Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks effectively, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials. • Certification in welding or relevant training is a plus. • Job details • Apply Now Certified Welder - Full Time BGSE Group is a growing manufacturer of Aviation Ground Support Equipment in Westover (Morgantown), West Virginia. We manufacture Pre-Conditioned Air units, Ground Power Units, Service Pits, Hose Management Systems, and other accessories for both commercial and military customers. BGSE has units all over the world at various airports and hangars including over 50 F-35 hangars. We are looking to add Certified Welders to our team, responsibilities include: • Tack and weld components according to job specifications • Take and read measurements to plan layout and procedures • Cut material • Read CAD DWG's and/or prints • Complete specified paperwork for ISO 9000 records • Work directly with engineering department to verify all assemblies are accurate • Align components using various hand tools • Repair and maintain manufactured products • Diagnose errors or technical problems • Assist fabrication and assembly technicians as needed Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds. Must be willing to follow direction including all safety policies and quality control procedures. Pay is negotiated based on experience, skills, and certifications.
