Summary We have an opening for a Welder position who will need to be diversified and also take care of other pipeline responsibilities. This position will support all pipeline operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Knowledgeable of industry related codes and standards • Proficient knowledge in all phases of pipeline welding including, but not limited to: Branch Connections, Sleeves, Hot Taps, Fabrication, In-Service, etc. • Selects materials, fittings and the type of welding rod to be used • Ability to weld on all process piping, gas gathering, gas transmission, hazardous liquid, other types of pressurized piping including temporary welds, welding associated with structural welding and including repair welding • Capable of administering, reviewing, and validating welder qualifications • Ability to obtain CWI certifications • Ability to obtain, review, and close-out project documentation • Participate in rotating on-call schedule • Basic map reading and Global Positioning System (GPS) skills • Required Education & Experience: Ability to read and utilize drawings, schematics, alignment sheets and P&ID drawings • Ability to create weld maps and as-builts • Knowledgeable with NDE Methods (UT, MT, and RT) • Knowledgeable with pipeline coatings and their applications • Knowledgeable with hydrostatic and pneumatic testing • Manage all activities with a focus on safety and compliance • Perform operation and maintenance activities on natural gas pipelines • Obtain other OQ task as needed • Obtain Class A CDL (non-air brake) within 6 months of hire on date • Ability to use the computer and computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, etc. Required Education & Experience: • High School Diploma or GED • Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred) • Good communication skills both verbal and written • Self-motivated • Able to work unsupervised Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level: • Level C requires a minimum of 0 – 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience • Level B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience • Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally • Driving, walking, and standing frequently • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment "An equal opportunity employer/disability/vet The Partnership is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against qualified applicants on the basis of any actual or perceived legally protected characteristics under federal, state, or local law.
