Equipment Operator & Welder – Quarry Operations

Our Heavy Equipment Operators play a key role in supporting daily operations, including mining, transporting, stockpiling, and sorting materials, as well as assisting with plant and yard maintenance and repairs. Requirements: • Minimum of 4-years of recent experience (within the past 8-years) safely and proficiently operating heavy equipment in the mining/quarry or construction industry (or similar production environment), such as: full-size excavators, haul trucks, front-end wheel loader. Forklift or crane experience does not meet this requirement. • Intermediate stick welding and fabrication experience to support equipment maintenance and general site repairs. • Willing and able to perform some physically demanding tasks, including shoveling during certain tasks, and assisting on the recycling picking line as needed. • Responsible for performing inspection and minor maintenance (pre- & post-operation) on heavy equipment assigned to, ensuring readiness and safe operational status to reduce downtime. Complete associated paperwork as required. • Strong spatial awareness around when operating around people, structures, and other equipment. • Able to work at heights using proper fall protection equipment. • Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a positive, team-focused attitude. • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. • Committed to safety and consistent delivery of high-quality work. • Effective verbal communication skills and ability to understand instructions in English.
