Job Title: Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled welder to perform arc and gas welding on a variety of metals and their alloys, including both commercial and military fabrications. This role involves critical safety and load requirements and requires the ability to plan, layout, and perform diversified fabrication work. Responsibilities • Perform arc and gas welding on a wide variety of metals and their alloys. • Weld commercial and military fabrications involving critical safety and load requirements. • Plan, layout, and perform diversified fabrication work. • Achieve certification to qualified procedures in accordance with Mil-STD 248, ASME Section IX, or other code compliance specified by customer contracts. • Determine proper machine settings, gas, and filler selections for particular base metal and process applications. • Operate ring roller and associated equipment as required. • Work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols. • Perform other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below. Essential Skills • Proficiency in arc and gas welding. • Ability to work with commercial and military fabrications. • Ability to plan, layout, and perform diversified fabrication work. • Certification in Mil-STD 248, ASME Section IX, or other code compliance. • Ability to determine proper machine settings, gas, and filler selections. • Experience with ring roller and associated equipment. • Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 1 year of prior welding experience. • Technical degree in welding. • Vocational or high school education or equivalent. • 6,000 hours of experience to become familiar with various basic trade fundamentals.
