Welder- 2nd Shift

This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Weld and assemble different pieces by using hand held and robotic welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures; utilize different materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, and tubing), and (ii) Prepare and complete manual and robotic welding work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal. Associate II, Welder Overview: • Weld and assemble different pieces by using hand held welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures; utilize different materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, and tubing) • Prepare and complete work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal • Test and inspect welded components to ensure they meet set specifications before moving to the next department • Work from different specifications and shop orders • Utilize ruler, square, templates, and gauges to take and read measurements • Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables • Report damages on machines and equipment; maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety • Report all unsafe conditions to management • Monitor/control the robotic welding process • Operate robotic welding equipment to perform welding tasks • Perform visual inspection of weld quality • Program robotic welding systems • Provide work reports/feedback to supervisors or engineering teams • Set up/prepare robotic welding equipment for operation • Troubleshoot/resolve and recover from potential technical issues that may arise • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams. • Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential. • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed Associate II, Welder Qualifications • No minimum education required • 1+ year of robotic welding experience required • Basic knowledge of MIG welding, handheld plasma machines and cutting torches using cutting steel, acetylene and other cutting methods • Basic knowledge of welding techniques, material characteristics, and structural fundamentals • Preferred Qualifications: Recognized robotic welding certification, Prior experience with solid core wires and argon/oxygen welding gasses, Prior experience MIG welding of structural steel and plate, 3-5 years experience loading, operating and welding in a robotic welding environment Share our immediate openings with your circle of friends, business Associates and family members. AIM or MISSION: The mission of the boat builder helper is improve the productivity of the boat builder by preparing all surfaces, parts and equipment for the boat builder. Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Wire-Feed welding and fabrication. Monday-Friday in Little Rock to Malvern, AR Candidates must have own Welding helmet, gloves, steel-toe boots and pass a drug screening, and weld test. This is a safety-sensitive position. Weld tests consist of a 3-pass test minimum but also downhill and two-inch pipe. Candidates must be able to spend long hours on their feet and lift up to 70lbs. Some positions will be 40 hour weeks only, others up to 50 hours per week. Machinist or Manual Machine Operators also needed. Benefits available after probationary period, provided by end company.
