AIM or MISSION: The mission of this position is to assemble prefabricated parts into a high quality aluminum boat according to factory specifications and work orders assuring safety, durability and overall customer satisfaction. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/EXPECTATIONS: • Live and Promote Company Values • Ability to read a tape measure. • Ability to change wire properly. • Ability to fix backlash/bird nest of wire in machine. • Ability to assess gun functions. • Knowledge of proper temperature settings • How and when to change tips. • Ability to identify excessive need for tip replacement. • Flow meter/ regulator/orifice Understanding. • Proper start up and shut down procedures. • Do not unplug machines without lead/ supervisor approval. • A consistency score. This will evolve to parameters. ( Live arc) • Spacing, Buildup, penetration understanding. • Ability to meet cycle times with acceptable quality on beginning MIG positions. • Adherence to PPE policy per department standards. • Welds prefabricated aluminum parts according to work orders using mig or tig welder. • Utilizes tools and measuring instruments to position and align parts to assemble a good quality boat. • Set-up and operate mig or tig welder. • Fosters a culture of safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures. • Participates in improvement efforts by input, feedback, and displaying willingness to adapt to change. • Cleans and maintains an orderly workplace.
