What We Offer: • Competitive starting pay is $21.37 • A night shift differential of $1.50 applies to any time worked after 4:30 pm • Pension Plan • 100% Employer Paid Insurance Premium Options for medical and dental • Employer Paid Protective Equipment & Consumables • Eight (8) paid holidays • Sick Leave & Vacation General Expectations and Responsibilities: • Follow ADF safety procedures and practices. • Keep work areas clean and ready for work. • Assist Welders and Fitters as needed. • Assist with basic part, hole, and bevel layouts. • Sort parts for Fitters to maintain workflow as needed. • Understand basic welding principles. • Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools. • Understand basic use and set up of oxyfuel cutting. • Understand basic use and set up of plasma cutters. • Understand heat distortion and prevention. • Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of shift. • Help protect tools and equipment from damage. • Strong communication skills. • May be asked to perform duties that are not listed. • Any other related duties and special projects as needed. Education, Training, or Work Experience: • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency. • Completion of welding program OR a minimum of 1,000 hours of relevant experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. • Industry certifications from AWS or CWB preferred. Knowledge: • Knowledge of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), and/or Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours at a time. • Ability to bend, squat, kneel for varying lengths of time. • Ability to use hand and power tools as needed. • Ability to fully articulate shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist. • Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 75lbs. • Must be able to work in various conditions (loud, hot, dusty, cold, etc.). • Able to ascend/descend ladders as needed.
