Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to read blueprints and schematics, contributing to the successful completion of projects in a construction site environment. Responsibilities • Interpret and analyze blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. • Utilize various welding techniques to join metal parts, ensuring strong and precise welds. • Operate plasma cutting equipment and power tools for metal fabrication tasks. • Measure and cut sheet metal using micrometers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy. • Perform soldering tasks as required for specific projects. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards. • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process, making necessary adjustments as needed. Qualifications • Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques. • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. • Experience working on construction sites is preferred but not mandatory. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs. We are looking for hardworking professionals who enjoy meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a background in welding to complete jobs for customers on time and on budget. This position will be a long-term stainless prefab piping project. This position will plan, lay-out, weld, install, test and repair all types of process piping and similar tubular products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes, and industry standards. • Process piping only – no structural or modular work. • RMD Process - Regulated Metal Deposition experience preferred. • Consistent, steady shop work through winter and more. • Weld test required. Job Duties: • Supervise and train welder helpers. • Examine/inspect working conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures that arise or that may occur. Take corrective actions as needed. • Choose filler metals and construction material to complete assignments. • Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards. • Be motivated and work productively and safely. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Education, Experience or Formal Training: • Prior welding experience in the construction, mining or related industry or prefer a two-year vocational-technical degree. • Must have working knowledge of various welding codes and specifications. • Must be familiar with properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage and welding techniques. • The welding process most used will be the RMD (Regulated Metal Deposition). • Ability to work in conditions common to a construction site including but not limited to rain, sleet, snow, dust, mud, heat, sun, cold, and noise. • Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays. • Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift. • Ability to lift to fifty pounds. • Climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on a regular basis. • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights) • If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to DMV background records search. Welder Night Shift

General Expectations and Responsibilities • Follow ADF safety procedures and practices. • Proficiently read and interpret blueprints as needed. • Proficient in reading welding symbols. • Weld in the flat (1G) and horizontal (2G). • Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools. • Proficient in the use and set up of oxyfuel and plasma cutters. • Utilize Carbon Arc Cutting/Gouging processes to remove material. • Understand types of welding discontinuities, prevention, and repair. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Ability to operate on strict deadlines. • Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of shift. • Strong communication skills. • Any other related duties and special projects as needed. Physical Requirements • Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours at a time. • Ability to bend, squat, kneel for varying lengths of time. • Ability to fully articulate shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist. • Must be able to grasp and safely operate hand and power tools. • Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, pull, or carry up to 75lbs. • Must be able to work in various conditions (loud, hot, dusty, cold, etc.). • Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend on ladders.
