Welder/Laborer Montana Crane Service is seeking an experienced and certified welder to fabricate rigging and job-specific products and complete routine repairs on our crane, forklift, truck, trailer, and heavy equipment fleet. Our ideal candidate enjoys diversity in their work routine, as welding and fabrication may only make up 25-50% of the job depending on the time of year. Primary responsibilities will include: Complete work orders relating to metal repairs on equipment Fabricate from hand-drawn or CAD-drawn plans Equipment and facility maintenance and repairs Work as local truck driver, rigger, and/or laborer as needed Applicants are expected to meet the following criteria: Experience with and extensive knowledge of MIG (aluminum experience a plus) and Arc welding procedures Ability to scale dimensions from drawings Must be in good physical condition, able to lift 50 pounds frequently, 75 pounds occasionally Must be at least 23 years of age (due to commercial insurance requirements) Must have clean driving record (no recent DUI) Must adhere to company drug, alcohol, and safety policies Must be able to work independently Must be able to complete paperwork accurately in a professional and timely manner Must work well with mechanics, supervisors, operators and customers Knowledge of various mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems associated with heavy trucks and equipment Please feel free to visit our web page for additional information on the range of equipment we operate.
