Machine Shop Fabricator/Welder I

Machine Shop Fabricator AMET, Inc., a progressive manufacturing company in Rexburg, Idaho is currently seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Machine Shop Fabricator. This individual will be involved in the fabrication of parts used in our customized automated welding systems. Since 1989 AMET inc. has been an innovator and integrator of advanced welding systems to meet the most demanding applications. We have installed systems in the nuclear, aircraft, aerospace, oil & gas, wind tower, heavy industry, and general manufacturing industries. Salary is negotiable depending on experience/qualifications. Benefits are available including vacation and personal leave; medical & dental insurance; 401K. Responsibilities Include: • Using and understanding power equipment such as but not limited to drill presses, grinders, band saws and other general wood, metal and sheet metal working tools • Perform a variety of general tasks related to production of automated welding equipment • Cutting and shearing steel and aluminum sheet metal • Punching and cutting holes in panels and enclosures • Shipping preparation including packaging and crating • Mechanical assembly • Ability to work unsupervised • Able to read and understand CAD drawings, maintenance manuals and other written technical specifications • Some travel may be necessary Preferred Technical Skills/Education: • Must be 18 years or older • Minimum of 1 year general shop experience • Experience with sheet metal, welding, steel fabrication • Exposure to general pneumatic and water tubing, fittings, and valves Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Shift: • 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
