Job Summary: We are looking to hire a hard-working and skilled Welder to assemble and weld structural components of various shelving components through the manufacturing process. The welder's responsibilities include keeping accurate records of all work performed. Understanding of welding practice for Mig / Tig and other types of welding including stepping in to support spot welding when needed. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform various welding procedures such as TIG, MIG. • Reads and interprets drawings (including weld symbols) and specifications to determine proper location of attachments, as well as weld size and configuration. • Must possess ability to pay attention to detail, good math skills, and ability to work independently and with other team members. Must be able to read a tape measure. • Accurately complete all paperwork associated with the tasks being performed • Maintain a clean, orderly work area. • Use established good manufacturing practices and published work instructions to manufacture products in accordance with shop order documents. • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinders, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas. • Wear protective equipment, including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, leather sleeves and/or cape and welding hood • Visually inspects his/her work to identify material discrepancies and to ensure that welds have been completed satisfactorily in compliance with applicable drawings and specifications. • Reads and interprets work orders and daily production schedules. • Maintains responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned to the group. • Always abide by company policies and safety standards. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or managers. Experience and Qualifications: • Associates degree in a manufacturing welding discipline, or related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing welder fitter role. Mig welding skill is a must, tig welding know the basic on how it works • Desire to complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. • Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines • Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety • Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers • Open-minded and willing to take constructive criticism. • Work overtime if needed.
