Job Description We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team for the 1st shift. The role involves welding mild steel ranging from 12 gauge to 1 inch in various positions including flat, vertical down, and overhead. You will be responsible for setting up your welder and job tasks, measuring, cutting, bending, and building frames. Using hand and power tools, tape measures, and other measuring tools will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will be grinding and polishing welds using Miller welders. We are looking for a complete welder, beyond just production-based welding. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on mild steel ranging from 12 gauge to 1 inch. Set up welder and job tasks independently. Measure, cut, bend, and build frames accurately. Utilize hand and power tools, tape measures, and other measuring tools. Grind and polish welds to perfection. Operate Miller welders efficiently. Essential Skills 5 years of experience in MIG welding on mild and structural steel. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using a tape measure. Experience in fabrication, fitting, and assembly. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3 years of experience in reading blueprints and using a tape measure. Experience with flux core welding.

This position also requires mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting experience, and inspection and communication abilities. This is a fast-paced but rewarding work environment, and will require accountability while working together in teams. Please be advised we will only respond to applicants that meet the required skills. 1st shift available 1st Shift - 10 hour shift, Monday through Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm Some Friday OT may be required Weld stainless steel for the production of tanks in various positions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead, etc.; Identify any fault in equipment operation or in relation to any material or equipment and notifying the supervisor; Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolting, Custom Fabricate or grind material as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product; Operate other accessory equipment and perform some tasks necessary for welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, plasma arc, Spray transfer, Pulse and other types of welding; Control the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of parts; Examine finished product to ensure specifications are met; Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding job such as GTAW, GMAW Read and understand basic prints/drawings to ensure accuracy of work performed. Candidate must be able to problem solve fabrication tasks Employees must be able to perform job tasks in a timely manner in accordance with allotted hours specified QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 2 years of experience as a TIG/MIG Welder/Fabricator. MIG & TIG welding experience including various processes therein is required; (Spray Transfer/Pulse/Short-Circuit etc.) Stainless steel welding experience is required; aluminum welding a plus; 2 years Experience in custom fabrication preferred SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read and understand technical drawings & blueprints; Strong mechanical aptitude; Good verbal and written communication skills; Must be Team oriented Capable of reading basic measuring equipment i.e. tape measures, rulers, levels etc. Professionalism and positive attitude is a must; Self-motivated, self-starter; This is a Fast pace and Fun environment Ability to use all extremities to efficiently operate manual tools and power tools; Ability to work in a variety of environments which may include exposure to extreme heat, humidity, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud noise, and all weather conditions; Climbing and working on, stairs, ladders, and scaffolding, at heights up to 15 feet is required; Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; Must be able to work in confined spaces for extended periods of time; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus and ability to read engineering drawings, meters, and documentation; Ability to hear audible warning horns; Must be able to effectively communicate verbally. Jigs and fixtures, dividers, calipers, trammel points, straight edge, square, blocks, micrometers and tape, cleco hammer, hammer, wire brush, grinder and chisel, protective clothing and equipment, blueprints, various welding procedure specifications (WPS), engineering specs, sketches and process documents, center head forming and cutting machine, level, protractors, surface gage, drill clamps. . Materials: Ferrous and non-ferrous materials Working Procedure: Receives job assignment, verbal instructions, sketches, blueprint, process document and/or written welding procedures. Works to codes requiring independent third-party inspection agency verifications. Performs set-up operations on subassemblies and assemblies for all product and production parts. Performs welding on experimental jigs and fixtures. Plans, lays out and assembles work with or without the use of jigs or fixtures as required. Welds in all positions. Selects the tools and equipment required for the job. Performs welding operations such as set-up and assemble details, cut, trim, grind and fit parts, tack weld, weld, solder, flame cut and anneal. Selects the filler metal and variables required and perform standard welding procedures to control expansion, shrinkage and distortion. Reads and interprets all types of welding drawings. Determines size and type of weld when such information is not furnished. Performs both set-up and weld complete on job as directed. Operates magnaflux unit as required and marks obvious defects for repair, questionable indications shall be interpreted by the Quality Control Department. Instructs lesser skilled welders as required. May perform other related duties as directed, works to tolerances of 1/64”. Lifts and positions by hand parts weighing up to 100 lbs. Heavier lifts made by hoist or crane. Perform activities required to facili8tate a process change over and/or modification on semi-automatic or full automatic welding systems, including the feeding system and its controller.
