Hours for this position are typically • 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm • Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) * WHAT TOLEDO TOOL & DIE CAN OFFER YOU: • $21.00/hour • Weekly pay • 10 paid holidays • Paid Time Off • 401k plan • Full benefits (medical/dental/vision) WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS POSITION: • Previous experience MIG welding steel • Strong work ethic • Positive attitude • Consistent attendance • Willingness to learn • Safety minded KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Providing support in operations as a Repair Welder which can include duties such as: • Setup welding equipment and supplies before executing the job orders; test and measure finished products. • Operate equipment safely and effectively for welding. • Stop to make minor repairs of welding machinery when product or machines or not to standard. • Provide sufficient quantity of repaired parts to ensure delivery schedules are sustained. • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly. • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and adhering to industry regulations. • Handle time accounting and complete work order. • Respond to warning signals and alarms that indicate issues have arisen, taking all necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries. • Regulate or turn off machines in emergency situations and follow all instructions from supervisory staff quickly and precisely. • Follow all necessary regulations and appropriate Company procedures including quality policies, safety policies, OSHA, EPA, ASME, NEC, etc. standards. • Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately. Requirements: • Required – High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Prefer 2 years of experience MIG and/or TIG welding steel and galvanized steel. • Prefer 2 years of experience operating hand and power tools. • Aptitude in spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship. • Mechanical aptitude and experience (work with machines and general tooling). • Skilled in hand and power tool usage. • Ability to follow proper safety procedures. • Proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems and issues. • Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds. • Preference will be given to qualified local candidates.
