Welder/Fabricator

Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain various tools and equipment such as various hand tools and welding machines - Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using various welding techniques - Inspect and measure completed workpieces to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards - Assemble fabricated parts to create finished products - Follow all safety protocols and adhere to codes and standards throughout the fabrication process Skills: - Experience operating calipers, and other fabrication tools - Strong welding skills with the ability to weld using various techniques - Mechanical knowledge to understand how parts fit together and function - Forklift operation experience for material handling purposes - Ability to build and assemble metal parts according to specifications - Familiarity with codes and standards related to fabrication processes Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position. Production Welder - 1st and 2nd Shift

Today Toledo Tool & Die has three facilities in the Toledo area and one in Pioneer, Ohio. Toledo Tool & Die is adding Production Welder to our team to support our continued growth. This is a full-time position based in Toledo, Ohio. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment. Come join our team! Hours for this position are typically • 1st shift: Sunday - Saturday, 4:00am - 2:00pm • 2nd shift: Sunday - Saturday, 3:00pm - 1:00am Schedules are planned to revert to standard 8 hours shifts at an unknown future date. • Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) * WHAT TOLEDO TOOL & DIE CAN OFFER YOU: • $21/hour • $1.50/hour shift premium for 2nd shift • Weekly pay • 10 paid holidays • Paid Time Off • 401k plan • Full benefits (medical/dental/vision) WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS POSITION: • Previous experience MIG welding steel is required • Strong work ethic • Positive attitude • Consistent attendance • Willingness to learn • Safety minded KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Providing support in operations as a Welder which can include duties such as: • Setup welding equipment and supplies before executing the job orders; test and measure finished products. • Operate equipment safely and effectively for welding. • Stop to make minor repairs of welding machinery when product or machines or not to standard. • Provide sufficient quantity of repaired parts to ensure delivery schedules are sustained. • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly. • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and adhering to industry regulations. • Handle time accounting and complete work order. • Respond to warning signals and alarms that indicate issues have arisen, taking all necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries. • Regulate or turn off machines in emergency situations and follow all instructions from supervisory staff quickly and precisely. • Follow all necessary regulations and appropriate Company procedures including quality policies, safety policies, OSHA, EPA, ASME, NEC, etc. standards. • Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately. Requirements: • Required – High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Prefer 2 years of experience MIG and/or TIG welding steel and galvanized steel. • Prefer 2 years of experience operating hand and power tools. • Aptitude in spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship. • Mechanical aptitude and experience (work with machines and general tooling). • Skilled in hand and power tool usage. • Ability to follow proper safety procedures. • Proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems and issues. • Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds. • Preference will be given to qualified local candidates.
