In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced technical tasks related to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems. As a Senior PV Solar Field Technician, you will utilize your extensive knowledge and expertise to ensure the optimal performance and efficiency of Solar PV systems near Seattle, Washington. Responsibilities: • Conduct advanced inspections, testing, and maintenance of PV solar systems, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.e • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair activities to identify and resolve issues with solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, electrical components, and other related equipment. • Develop and execute detailed maintenance and repair plans for PV solar projects, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum energy production. • Conduct thorough site assessments, including shading analysis, solar resource assessment, and system design parameters, to optimize system performance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and field technicians, to ensure effective planning, execution, and completion of solar projects. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior field technicians, assisting in their professional development and enhancing overall team performance. • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to PV solar systems and renewable energy, and effectively apply them to improve operational efficiency. • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other activities performed on PV solar systems. • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulatory requirements, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Job Overview The Site Technician will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the perfect execution of the PGD processes. Site Technicians in a solar region perform duties in the following but are not limited to safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, overall site operations, asset management and regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management. Job Description Position Overview As a SCADA Project Engineer, you will be on the construction team responsible for the engineering, procurement and commissioning of supervisory control & data acquisition (SCADA) systems and associated communications infrastructure related to cutting-edge renewable energy projects. You will be responsible for coordinating with multiple stakeholders to develop conceptual designs. You will be responsible for managing the procurement, final detailed designs, commissioning, and acceptance testing on renewable energy projects. The SCADA & IT systems of these projects may include RTACs, RTUs, plant controllers, network switches, firewalls, annunciators, HMIs and all associated connectivity on wind, solar and battery storage renewable energy projects. Responsibilities • Specification and configuration of SCADA, power plant controller, RTU, & IT equipment • Develop conceptual project designs that comply with all critical stakeholder and interconnection requirements • Creation of conceptual block diagrams • Conduct thorough reviews of detailed design drawings • Track design schedules, update all stakeholders and ensure that critical dates are met on time. • Organize and transfer all as-built documentation to operations team including schematics, bills of materials, and programming settings • Coordinate the procurement and installation of necessary telecom services. • Interface with plant controller manufacturers, transmission operators, generator owners and operators to configure systems as needed. • Coordinate networking equipment configuration including specifying physical interfaces and protocols, assigning IP addresses, and administration of firewall rules. • Monitor construction progress remotely and via on-site inspections. Support resolution of any field issues. Attend in-person meetings with stakeholders.
