Senior Electrical Engineer - Solar PV and Energy Storage (Remote, US)

**Overview:** Bowman is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team remotely. As a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with significant experience in commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage design, you will be responsible for performing all levels of electrical design, electrical studies, and analysis for PV and energy storage projects. **Responsibilities:** • Leadership and Direction: + Receive broad guidance and direction on complex assignments + Apply extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices + Review work produced by staff for quality assurance • At the Operational and Company Level: + Establish new clients and enhance client relationships + Represent project team in client communications and resolutions • Do the Work: + Perform electrical studies using software such as SKM, ETAP, CYMCAP, or similar + Lead and participate in design and development of electrical plan sets + Perform final reviews and PE approval for PV and Energy Storage electrical designs + Lead and participate in design-related consulting and PV system modeling + Oversee and supervise contractors and employees + Coordinate with design engineers and sub-consultants + Interface with utilities and coordinate design of interconnections + Identify issues and collaborate with clients and team members to execute effective solutions + Generate Single Line Diagrams and interpret requirements for utility interconnection application processes + Complete electrical calculations and report progress to Senior Managers + Provide estimates of time to perform tasks and apply broad knowledge of engineering principles and procedures + Oversee designs through project construction/completion + Communicate effectively with engineers, equipment manufacturers, and project stakeholders • Success Metrics and Competencies: + High level of integrity and problem-solving attitude + Ability to work independently and within a team environment + Effective communication and marketing/business development skills + Strong sense of urgency in responding to constituents + Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks and sub-station engineers and sub-consultants • *Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering • 5+ years of relevant experience in the Solar PV industry • Professional Engineer (PE) license • 5+ years of relevant electrical studies experience • Medium-voltage design and interconnection experience • Experience with PV system modeling software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, and/or Homer • High-level understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), IEEE standards, and other applicable codes • Energy storage system design experience • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD • *Benefits:** • Competitive compensation package • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match • Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays • Tuition reimbursement and professional development support • Discretionary bonuses and other performance-based incentives • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), wellness initiatives, and employee discounts
