Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction, and roofing, along with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Your expertise will contribute to the successful implementation of renewable energy solutions that promote sustainability. Duties • Install solar panels and related equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems. • Interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation according to specifications. • Perform electrical work including high voltage and low voltage connections in compliance with NEC standards. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively during installation processes. • Conduct fixture installations and ensure all systems are operational upon completion. • Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation or operation of solar systems. Qualifications • Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in a similar role within the construction industry. • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications. • Familiarity with NEC codes and regulations related to solar installations. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. • Experience with roofing techniques and safety measures is preferred. • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely on construction sites. • Previous experience in plumbing is a plus but not required. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
