Job Description Job Description Sheetmetal Detailer (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) Location: Riverside, CA Full-Time Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Range: $24-32/hr. depending on experience About the Role We're looking for a Sheetmetal Detailer to join our growing team! In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production/Operations, and Engineering teams across our divisions to deliver accurate estimates, drawings, and technical support. This position is key in helping us provide cost-effective solutions for customers while supporting the continued growth of our company. What You'll Do Create and prepare shop/production drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Assist with complex plans, elevations, and details under supervisor guidance Perform material take-offs, develop estimates, and define scopes of work Work directly with customers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables Support lead engineer to ensure design intent carries through production Research materials/parts and assist with purchase orders from production drawings Communicate effectively and maintain accuracy in all documentation Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required SolidWorks Sheet Metal Certification or equivalent experience Proficiency in SolidWorks (2016 or later) and AutoCAD 2-4 years of relevant detailing or engineering experience preferred Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work cross-functionally Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorships available. Pridestaff is currently seeking a Metal Fabrication Shop Assistant for a steel manufacturing company located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered. • Pay Rate: $19-20 • Shift: Monday – Friday, 12:30pm to 9pm Job Duties: The Shop Assistant will assist in various duties in the hardware area such as grinding, bending sheets, rolling sheets, and loading and unloading. Roles and responsibilities: • Help pull hardware • Able to read work orders • Grinding, bending sheet and rolling sheets • Loading and Unloading in the Glomar Department • Perform other duties as assigned • Bilingual (preferred) • Mechanically inclined • Must be flexible to perform other job duties in other departments • Manufacturing experience preferred Job Requirements: • Must have at least 6 months experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment • Mechanically inclined – Ability to operate tools and machinery effectively including the ability to use a hand grinder. • Flexibility – must be willing to perform various job duties across different departments. • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs continuously. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl. • Ability to work outside yard to load and unload when needed. • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. • Must have and wear steel toe shoes or boots or composite shoes throughout shift as well as assigned PPE (Ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.) • Must be willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background check prior to start. POSITION SUMMARY The senior production and estimator is responsible for estimating, scheduling, operating, and managing roofing, sheet metal, and wall systems opportunities from discovery through contract signing. OBJECTIVES • Generate estimates from computer plan drawings, specifications, field drawings, and actual field inspections • Understand the contract to ensure that our responsibilities and scope of the work can be achieved • Responsible for catching deviations from the specifications and plans as it relates to scope, contract and schedule • Obtain all necessary information, such as: field inspections, measurements, photographs, and sketches required to provide accurate customer pricing • Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors and property managers and submit proposals to customers • Maintain technical and field knowledge of a variety of roof systems and repair alternatives as roof solutions primarily in the existing building environment • Create cost budgets for various roof solutions and proposals to effectively present to customer • Provide input on pricing of roof solutions and help establish value added sales messages • Develop new opportunities and accounts • Attend weekly scheduling and sales meetings in person • Monitor job costs against original estimates, budgets and change orders • Execute Contracts with Subcontractors and Owners • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure the successful completion of a project in accordance with how it was estimated/bid. COMPETENCIES • Estimate bidding opportunities that have been provided and/or self-acquired • On company approved proposal letterhead, prepare quotes/proposals and timely disseminate to bidding GCs or Owners (prior to due dates) • Field and return calls from clients in timely fashion during and after hours • After having a conversation with any clients or vendors of any significance, whether in person or over the phone, endeavor to follow up in the form of an email addressed to that same person summarizing the significant points raised in discussion to have for future reference. This is very important and will prove to be extremely valuable (cover ourselves in writing) • Project Manage in a manner which exceeds industry standards • Upon request by Employer, train and cultivate incoming assistant(s) or fellow estimator(s) / project manager(s) methodologies in a manner that teaches them the necessary skills to assist your position efficiently and profitably which may include, but are not limited to: estimating, proposal writing, inventory control, obtaining material quotes, material purchases, estimating software such as PlanSwift, crew management, interfacing with accounting, admin, PM Assistant, and the costing department among other tasks. • When communicating and transacting either personally, verbally, or in writing, with clientele and office staff in a professional and courteous manner at all times • Make arrangements to have your duties covered while you are unavailable by providing an adequate temporary replacement and/or a method for communication by office staff, field personnel, and clients. • All hiring, firing and/or raises of personnel under your management shall be authorized by Employer prior to implementation • From time to time, work with appropriate department(s) to develop lead opportunities • Work diligently with all other trades and department’s personnel within this organization • Work diligently to surpass annual sales beyond $3-4M annually without sacrificing quality or margins • Learn, implement, encourage and monitor the correct use of digital timecard and scheduling as the preferred method for keeping payroll hours for the crews in the field. Confirm their weekly and correct usage of the system against job costing reports • Ensure on properly adhering to OSHA & CAL-OSHA regulations as it pertains to crews in the field especially as it relates to but not limited to sun and heat exposure, i.e., shade, water and breaks while on the job. • When asked, provide a report on the performance of the PM Assistant position so that we can correct or improve any issues that may be present. • Handle all leak calls you are made aware of and schedule your team for a timely response. • Create detailed reports for all leak calls serviced and email to the accounting and reception departments. Keep in constant communication with the personnel requesting service regarding the service schedule.
