Sheet Metal Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Superintendent to oversee all aspects of architectural sheet metal installation on roofing projects — including flashing, coping, edge metal, downspouts, wall panels, and custom fabrications. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise sheet metal crews on commercial roofing projects. • Oversee installation of metal roofing, metal wall panels, fiber cement siding, insulated panels and metal composite panels along with components, flashings, coping caps, edge metal, fascia, gutters, and downspouts • Coordinate with roofing superintendents, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure proper scheduling and delivery of materials. • Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, ensuring proper installation per specifications. • Perform on-site quality control checks and troubleshoot installation issues. • Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA), and enforce job site safety protocols. • Track labor productivity and material usage; report daily progress. • Train and mentor sheet metal workers and apprentices. • Serve as the primary field contact for sheet metal-related tasks with clients, inspectors, and GCs. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience in architectural/commercial roofing sheet metal installation. • 2+ years of leadership or superintendent experience preferred. • Deep understanding of wall panels systems, edge metal systems, custom fabrication, SMACNA standards, and typical commercial roofing assemblies (Standing seam, TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified, etc.). • Familiarity with sheet metal equipment (Shear, Brakes, Routers) • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and shop drawings. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • OSHA 30 certification. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Comfortable using technology (tablets, apps, project management tools like Procore) Preferred Qualifications: • Experience managing multiple job sites or large-scale roofing projects. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Sheet Metal Fabricator -Las Vegas, NV

About the position Responsibilities • Reviews detailed drawing to determine cut list before fabricating duct. • Performs layout and makes fittings for add-on-replacement according to specifications. • Cuts and builds ductwork according to order by using metal layout and fabrication equipment. • Cuts insulation to fit metal, as needed for insulation jobs. • Cuts drive connectors and mixing boxes for each job. • Checks to ensure that each job order is accurate and complete. • Loads fabrication jobs on trucks and coordinates any shipping. • Uses excess scrap materials for forming s-locks, drives and hanging straps. • Operates a computer by entering data into the system to burn jobs on the cutting machine. • Operates a forklift to move materials and unload trucks. • May order materials for the department and take receipt of stock. Maintains appropriate inventory control documentation. • Takes incoming telephone orders from the installation crews and builds according to order. • Completes all required documentation on jobs and services to include time and materials. • Provides on-the-job training and support to new employees to include proper machine procedures and simple repairs. May assist in scheduling. • May perform some installation and/or delivery of parts and materials to the job site. Requirements • A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is preferred. • 1-2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience. • An understanding of welding, sheet metal layout, air conditioning and air flow is required. • Must be able to obtain and maintain an OSHA Certified Forklift license. • A valid state driver's license is required if delivery of parts and materials are assigned.
