This role inspects incoming sheet metal parts, machined components, and raw materials, reviews Certificates of Conformance (CofCs), and performs final shipping inspection for aerospace customers and outside process vendors. Responsibilities: • Shipping and Receiving: Receive aerospace sheet metal and machined parts, verify counts, and update ERP/MRP system. • Incoming Inspection: Perform dimensional and visual inspections to AS9100 and customer specifications using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges. • Documentation Review: Verify supplier CofCs, material certifications, and other aerospace quality documents. • Final Inspection & Packaging: Inspect completed aerospace components before shipment to customers and vendors. Package per aerospace packaging standards (Boeing D6-51991, Lockheed Martin). • CMM Operation: Operate FARO and Hexagon portable CMM arms (preferred). • AS9102 Reporting: Create AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and other quality documentation (preferred). • Compliance: Follow ITAR/EAR export control requirements for aerospace parts. • Logistics Support: Coordinate shipments, schedule pickups, and operate forklift/pallet jack. Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in aerospace quality inspection, shipping, and receiving. • Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality standards. • Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints, drawings, and specifications. • Skilled in inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges. • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS, Epicor, SAP). • Experience with FARO/Hexagon CMM arms and AS9102 FAIRs a plus. • Forklift certification a plus. • U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR).
