Shipping & Receiving Quality Control Inspector Aerospace Sheet Metal

Location: Anaheim, CA | Full-Time Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Quality Control Inspector with a strong aerospace background. This role inspects incoming sheet metal parts, machined components, and raw materials, reviews Certificates of Conformance (CofCs), and performs final shipping inspection for aerospace customers and outside process vendors. Responsibilities: • Shipping and Receiving: Receive aerospace sheet metal and machined parts, verify counts, and update ERP/MRP system. • Incoming Inspection: Perform dimensional and visual inspections to AS9100 and customer specifications using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges. • Documentation Review: Verify supplier CofCs, material certifications, and other aerospace quality documents. • Final Inspection & Packaging: Inspect completed aerospace components before shipment to customers and vendors. Package per aerospace packaging standards (Boeing D6-51991, Lockheed Martin). • CMM Operation: Operate FARO and Hexagon portable CMM arms (preferred). • AS9102 Reporting: Create AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and other quality documentation (preferred). • Compliance: Follow ITAR/EAR export control requirements for aerospace parts. • Logistics Support: Coordinate shipments, schedule pickups, and operate forklift/pallet jack. Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in aerospace quality inspection, shipping, and receiving. • Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality standards. • Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints, drawings, and specifications. • Skilled in inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges. • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS, Epicor, SAP). • Experience with FARO/Hexagon CMM arms and AS9102 FAIRs a plus. • Forklift certification a plus. • U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR).
