Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the HVAC or metal fabrication industry. The ideal candidate must have proven ability to weld 18-gauge galvanized sheet metal and a strong understanding of fabrication processes, safety standards, and attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components for HVAC and related systems. • Weld and join 18-gauge galvanized sheet metal with precision. • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. • Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal using appropriate tools and machinery. • Ensure all finished products meet company quality standards. • Maintain a safe and organized work environment. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule. GENERAL DUTIES • Prepare and operate standard hand grinders. • Deburr, buff, and or polish materials to specifications. • Examines and feels surface of product for defects. • Removal of defects, scratches, excess weld material, and burs to produce a smooth unmarred surface. • Prepare products for secondary operations such as powder coating by achieving a Class C/B finish with low cosmetic visibility. • Ensure that safety devices guards are operative and follow safety protocols. • Performs other duties as assigned.
