Fabrication Sheet Metal Programmer

About the position Responsibilities • Programming Sheet Metal parts and tubing for Amanda Laser/Punch Machines and Trumpf Combo. • Working with Cadkey 99 R1.0, SolidWorks, AP100US, Sheetworks, Dr. Abe Tube, TruTop Boost. • Create detail form or weld drawings for shop. • Program parts for Tube laser, Flat Bed Laser, and NC Turret Punch. • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop Part Methods to minimize changes and shorten lead times through production. • Work with Engineering & Customer to resolve drawing issues & manufacturing problems. • Programming robotic bending cell and TruBend stand alone press brake using TruTops Boost. • Work with the technicians to check on your programs, to ensure they are running at 100% efficiency. Requirements • Must be proficient in either AutoCAD or FabriWin/AP100. • Skilled and proficient in SolidWorks 3D, FabriWin/AP100, AutoCAD. • 5 years experience in Laser programming in sheet metal. • Knowledgeable of GD&T, ability to read blueprints. • Strong mathematical, organizational and planning skills. • Knowledgeable with all Sheet metal processes. • Ability to recognize and address problems in the production process. • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal stakeholders. • Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines. • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and create detailed setup sheets for production. • Must be able to work overtime as needed. About Millennium Metalcraft Millennium Metalcraft, Inc. (MMC) is a fast-growing precision manufacturer specializing in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, cable & wire processing, and electro-mechanical assembly for top-tier technology, medical, and commercial OEMs. We operate two state-of-the-art facilities in Fremont, providing high-mix/low-volume and scalable production. We are looking for an NC Operator who wants to grow in a clean, fast-paced, and team-centered environment. Position Overview The NC Operator is responsible for operating CNC punch presses to produce precision sheet metal parts. This role ensures accurate, high-quality production while following MMC’s engineering, safety, and quality standards. What You’ll Do Machine Operation • Operate CNC punch presses & Tool grinders • Load materials, verify tooling, and run machine programs • Perform basic setups under lead or programmer guidance • Monitor machines and adjust as needed for consistency Quality & Inspection • Read engineering drawings and job travelers • Use calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and height gauges • Identify and report any nonconforming parts Workflow & Production • Track part quantities and maintain accurate records • Communicate tooling, material, or equipment issues • Coordinate with deburr, hardware, and assembly teams • Help with machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance Safety • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements • Maintain a clean and organized work area What We’re Looking For Required • Experience with CNC or NC metal fabrication machinery • Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions • Basic measurement and inspection skills • Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. and stand for extended periods Preferred (Nice to Have) • Experience with Amada equipment (EM punch, TOGU) • Sheet metal knowledge: bend deductions, grain direction, tooling • Familiarity with JobBOSS or other ERP systems • ISO 9001 environment experience Benefits & Perks • Competitive hourly pay (DOE) • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off and paid holidays • Growth pathways into brake setup, laser operation, programming, QC, or assembly • Overtime opportunities
