Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Technician to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This position focuses on the installation, modification, and commissioning of commercial HVAC ductwork systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in layout, fabrication, and installation of duct systems, as well as a strong understanding of blueprint reading, airflow requirements, and jobsite safety. A commitment to high-quality workmanship and teamwork is essential. Key Responsibilities • Install and modify commercial sheet metal duct systems including rectangular, round, and spiral duct • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications • Ensure proper airflow, sealing, and insulation of installed ductwork • Coordinate with HVAC technicians and installers during start-up and commissioning • Perform layout and fabrication work based on site measurements and design plans • Operate sheet metal tools and equipment safely and accurately • Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and company procedures • Complete daily reports and communicate progress with project managers Qualifications • Proven experience as a sheet metal technician in commercial HVAC construction • Proficient in layout, cutting, and installing sheet metal ductwork • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings • Familiarity with duct sizing, sealing standards, and airflow principles • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team collaboration skills • OSHA 10 certification preferred • Ability to operate lifts and power tools safely • Duct pressure testing and TAB coordination experience is a plus Benefits • Flexible schedule options • Health Savings Account (HSA) • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location: In person
