Friday-Sunday 6am- 6:30pm Open to individuals with some shipping experience. ResourceMFG is searching for a highly dependable and motivated Metal Fabricator. As a entry level Fabricator, you will perform duties and responsibilities with an emphasis on safety. You will operate various sheet metal machines such as brakes, lasers, deburring machines, shears, notches, and turret punching machines. You will receive work orders and prints, and use shop calculations/math when necessary, working from complex drawings, prints, templates, and specifications. You will cut and form pieces to required dimensions using a variety of machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments. You will perform highly diversified work involving close tolerances with a basic understanding of blank sizes and bend allowances, using precision measuring instruments to check for accuracy. You will monitor machines at all times for proper operation, work with close supervision in coordination with other team members and other departments in the company, and keep your work area clean and orderly. Other duties as assigned. You will work in a job shop that is climate-controlled with a small team of only 15 people. The environment is extremely clean and all equipment is very new. Various types of welding to include: Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), and Electrode welding (Stick). Projects requiring use of either Plasma or Acetylene cutting torch along with working knowledge of metal reaction to welding, cutting, grinding, and all aspects of applying heat. Some required offsite repairs and fabrication at customer locations potentially requiring hot work, lock out tag out, confined space, etc. Use of blue prints, Autocad drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to perform tasks or project to achieve required results. Rigging knowledge, overhead crane operations, handling large components in conjunction with team members is a must. Position will require passing various pipe and plate tests in multiple positions.
