We are currently hiring for HVAC Sheet Metal Duct Mechanic in Southern Pines, NC. As a sheet metal duct mechanics you are responsible for fabricating, assembling and installing HVAC ductwork. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years experience. Pay is $22 - $28 per hour based on experience, skillset and location. Sheet Metal Mechanic Description: • Design and measure and fabricate sheet metal • Design and install fittings and duct joints (i.e. slide and drive, TDF, snap lock) • Ability to troubleshoot, install, maintain and repair a variety of mechanical systems and equipment, and clean work areas • Measures, cuts, bends, and forms metal components to their precise shapes and fastens them into a finished product • Utilizes hammers, punches, drills, and shears to make custom-fitted parts, either by altering shop made parts or creating custom-fit parts on site • Inspects and fabricates parts together using nuts, bolts, rivets, screws, and clips • Transports, joins, and fastens parts to walls, floors, or ceilings using metal hangers Sheet Metal Mechanic Qualifications: • 2+ years experience in commercial or residential setting and/or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience • Able to read blueprints • Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs • Your OWN reliable transportation Benefits: • Weekly pay • Referral program • Paid time off and Holiday pay • Vision, dental, and health insurance • 401(k)
