Aircraft Structures/Sheet Metal Technician

The Aircraft Structures/Sheet Metal Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft components and airframe structural supports. Essential Functions: • Read, interpret, plan & work from Structural Repair Manuals, engineering drawings, and Service Bulletins. • Complete skin repairs requiring doublers or triplers containing complex contours. • Complete complex repairs and replacements that require substantial disassembly, such as wing spar, keel beam, or other support structures. • Remove/install aircraft components as required. • Perform minor structural repairs on composite components. • Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures. • Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft. Assist with aircraft component repair. Requirements: • 2+ years of experience working aircraft structures. • Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings. • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status. • A&P Certified is preferred, but not required. Sheetmetal Mechanic Foreman

Duties and Responsibilities: • Installing lines of ductwork and installing HVAC equipment under the direction of the site foreman. • Modifying ductwork as needed in the field, accurately conducting field measurements and making sketches for ductwork fabrication. • Safely and effectively using all tools and equipment required onsite. • Laying out equipment and ductwork onsite. • Working closely with the site foreman to help schedule work, order material and coordinate installation. • Having a safety mindset. • Being reliable by showing up on time, ready to work each day. • Displaying a willingness to help us continually improve. Responsibilities: • Maintain and install the various components of aircraft sheet metal and composite. • Use of precision measuring devices. i.e.; micrometer, ball gauges, dial calipers, scales and all other calibrated devices. • Maintain documented records of work accomplished. • Works from and to MES planning, engineering drawings, blueprints, manufacturing specifications and procedures. • Demonstrate the ability to pull/query from MES and MEDS. • Adheres to quality procedures and instructions both written and verbal. • Notifies supervision of all malfunctions, defects and damages of material, equipment and/or product. • Expected to keep all areas clean, neat and orderly. • Preform visual and functional inspection of operations to ensure product meets all requirements and specifications. • Adhere to all company policies and safety programs. • May be required to perform other related job duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or Accredited GED. • 3 or more years of experience in aircraft sheet metal structural assembly, or a combination of aircraft structural assembly and MRO Repair experience. • Demonstrated abilities to interpret and work from drawings and specs. • Meets all physical requirements.
