ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Aid in the development of plumbing budget. • Maintain an inventory of plumbing supplies. • Develop specifications for contracted plumbing services. • Complete plumbing work as assigned by Director of Facilities, managers and supervisors. • Coordinate plumbing services with other district plumbers. • Assist other crafts in the completion of duties directed. • Work in a cooperative and positive manner with the school district administration, staff and the public. • Take direction and complete tasks in a safe and satisfactory manner. • Ability to accept multiple task jobs at a variety of locations as assignments arise. • Complete / maintain records and reports. • Properly complete daily and scheduled assignments. • Assist in properly maintaining equipment and supply inventory. • Actively contribute to reducing energy consumption per energy conservation program. • Maintain a high degree of self-motivation and self-direction; express a positive and cooperative attitude and work ethic. • Must be able to serve as a positive role model. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Attendance is an essential function of this position. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required at the time of hire or for the continuation of employment. • Must be able to demonstrate competency in the plumbing trade, including experience in plumbing in schools, commercial or industrial buildings. • Journeyman license • A minimum of five (5) years professional experience as plumber involved maintenance and new installation. • Ability to perform duties complying with all safety standards. • General knowledge of construction techniques. • Good organization and public relation skills. • Must be able to exhibit knowledge and ability to satisfactorily complete work with various maintenance trades. • Maintain a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
