A Plumbing Designer will receive direction and supervision from either a Project Designer (PD) or Project Manager (PM). May participate in or conduct client meetings at the direction of the PD or PM. Needs to be capable of producing a complete set of design documents including plans, isometrics, specifications, and details based on solid engineering principles and code knowledge. Shall be capable of doing their own drafting using Revit as Excel’s primary drafting software (AutoCAD experience is acceptable) as needed and related Microsoft Office software. Depending on the project may supervise one or more drafting technicians. Will conduct out of office field surveys prior to design as well as construction inspections as needed by the project requirements. Will be required to review shop drawings and RFI requests. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with minimum four years including relevant education. Experience as a plumber with a MPL doing in-house design work will be considered.
