Plumber

UDR, Inc. and its affiliated companies are seeking a Plumber to join our team in Salinas, CA. This position will handle plumbing repairs for 7 apartment communities. On-Call is required for emergency plumbing requests. When not assigned to work on plumbing related service tickets, this position will join the service team at their primary community to assist with regular service tickets. Essential Functions: • Provide Slab Leak/Pinhole repairs. • Provide drain cleaning ¼” to 4” lines including mains. • Reroute and replacement of supply and main drain lines. • Apply experience and skill in leak detection equipment; Jetting and camera equipment; and preventative maintenance requirements on multifamily buildings. • Respond to requests for service by taking appropriate action to repair and/or restore service within the quality and time standards established by the organization. • Report all deficiencies and or risk management safety issues immediately. • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace and ensure they are organized and in proper working order, request replacements as necessary, and assist in stocking the inventory. • Provide back-up to the service team when there are no plumbing issues including making repairs, filling service tickets, or preparing vacant apartments. • Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers. • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary. Experience, Knowledge and Skills: • Minimum of two to four years’ of plumbing experience including working with copper, PEX, CPVC, ProPress and SharkBite plumbing systems • Experience using sewer cameras and sewer jetters • Customer service experience • Proficient in the use of modern technology, especially computers and smartphones • Valid driver’s license and rotating on-call responsibility required Education: • High School Diploma or its equivalent or technical or vocational certificate required.
