Position: Plumber (Full Time) $33.00/HR Join to apply for the Plumber (Full Time) $33.00/HR role at Cedar Fair Entertainment Company Job Summary: Perform routine repair and maintenance of plumbing systems. Assist with installation of new systems and equipment using standard methods. Essential Job Duties: • Repair and maintain a variety of Park facilities including irrigation systems, sinks, storm drains, underground vaults, water lines, piping, quick couplers, valves, compressed air lines, sanitary sewer, natural gas lines, bathroom fixtures, restaurant fixtures, misters, pumps, garbage disposals, etc. • Make daily rounds of all restroom facilities. Make needed repairs to toilets and sinks. Unclog toilets as needed. • Perform general maintenance on pumps and motors. • Work assignments will include ditch digging, troubleshooting, shop and area cleanup, driving company vehicles and equipment, special work for promotional events, etc. • Install new fixtures and fabricate items as necessary. Cut and prepare PVC pipe for new usages. Follow all specifications dictated by blueprints and follow plumbing codes. • Service the backflow prev enters. • Interpret and read blueprints and as-builts to locate trouble, troubleshoot problems, and determine repairs needed. • Compute psi and gpm to determine appropriate fixtures. • Use a variety of solvents, glues, acids, and lubricants to facilitate work. • Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete work assignments. • Adhere to all departmental and company safety policies. Wear appropriate safety equipment as required. • Participate in emergency procedures regarding flooding, wind storms, utility outages, earthquakes, and hazardous waste spills. • Assist in other Maintenance and Construction areas as needed. • Other duties as requested. Minimum Qualifications: • Must possess a thorough operational understanding of plumbing procedures and methods. • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. • Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to squat, bend, stoop, kneel, and twist. • Must possess ability to read blueprints. • Must possess a thorough understanding of plumbing procedures and methods. • Must possess a working knowledge of building codes. Basic mechanical knowledge required. • Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to speak, read, and write English. • Must possess good safety awareness. • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and holidays. • Position will require exposure to natural gas and sanitary sewer. • Must be 18 years of age or older.
