Position Summary: To be responsible, under the supervision of the Superintendent and Project Manager, for plumbing repairs in all residential and commercial sites. Duties: • Duties may include but are not limited to the following: • Perform plumbing duties in connection with a wide variety of building alterations, maintenance and repair projects. • Install, alter, replace, and repair plumbing projects as required such as water, sewage, and drainage systems. • Cut, bend, assemble, and install various pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, sanitary, drainage, heating, gas, and other plumbing systems which involve the performance of hand, bench, and maintenance plumbing tasks. • Install, alter, repair, or replace all plumbing fixtures. • Thread, ream, assemble, caulk, solder, and weld various pipes and component parts. • Install, alter, and repair valves, fittings, and other plumbing parts and equipment, including such items as hot water boilers, sterilizers, steam tables, sinks, thermal control apparatus, sprinkler heads, hydrants, and service pipes. • Repair and install new water/drainage lines and waste/sewage pipes. • Check plumbing fixtures for leaks and other defects, opening and cleaning clogged drains, pipes, and traps. • Advise on selecting, ordering, and storing plumbing supplies and equipment. Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent with on-the-job and formal classroom training in plumbing work in • construction, maintenance, commercial, and residential environments • Experience in plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation in addition to on-the-job training • Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various plumbing projects. • Knowledge of machines and tools used in the construction or repair of houses, buildings and other structures. • This knowledge includes machine and tools design, uses, repairs, and maintenance. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Utilize dispatch board to update and maintain all schedules for on time service while maintaining zero backlogs. • Answer calls from customers. If needed, dispatch the proper technicians to handle any emergencies as required. This includes analyzing completed work orders for accuracy, and ensuring they are correct, complete and on time. • Track and/or quote deficiencies per procedure within 72 hours. • Update and maintain all customer information in all databases, including but not limited to: Service department inspection dates, contract information, new customers/sites and updated customer names and addresses. • Dispatch appropriate technician(s) based on skill set required for each site or project. • Generate/maintain schedules on a daily/weekly/monthly/annually basis. Field trouble calls, PM inspections, on-call schedule, vacation schedule, and subcontractor schedule. • Prepare and process work orders and invoices, when applicable; acquire purchase orders where customer requires; follow up on inspection deficiencies reported, send report(s) to specific customers; complete work orders in Sage 100 Contractor. • Display effective communication with customers; promptly follow up on customer inquiries, tracking special needs requests, reports and copies as needed.
