Position Overview The Plumbing Manager oversees all operations within the Plumbing Department, ensuring high-quality workmanship, regulatory compliance, employee development, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with technical plumbing knowledge and at least 2–3 years of proven managerial experience in the service industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Lead, coach, and mentor plumbing technicians to meet departmental goals and maintain exceptional customer satisfaction. • Manage daily plumbing operations including scheduling, workflow, dispatch coordination, and resource allocation. • Ensure all plumbing work complies with California Plumbing Code, OSHA, and company safety policies. • Review completed jobs for quality assurance and compliance with state and local regulations. • Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations. • Monitor department KPIs, job costs, and profitability metrics; prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership. • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members in collaboration with HR. • Provide hands-on technical guidance on complex plumbing service calls when necessary. • Collaborate with the Customer Service and Dispatch departments to ensure efficient communication and scheduling. • Resolve customer concerns in a professional, timely manner. • Promote a positive, safety-focused, and inclusive work environment. Qualifications Required: • Minimum 2–3 years of management or supervisory experience in plumbing, construction, or related trade. • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and California regulatory requirements. • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve performance goals. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Preferred: • Experience managing budgets, cost controls, and KPIs. • Working knowledge of service software (ServiceTitan or similar). Physical Demands This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional work in confined spaces or outdoors in varying temperatures may be required.
