About the Work The Plumber and Steamfitter is responsible for developing, maintaining and securing the Museum’s buildings and grounds so as to support its collections, education, and research functions. The Plumber and Steamfitter will: Support administrative operations by performing maintenance and preventive maintenance on Plumbing and HVAC systems and related equipment, and in other areas as assigned/needed, ensuring minimum disruption of normal operations and contributing to a clean and safe work environment. When necessary, acts as Museum’s on-site coordinator with contractors to correct problems and make emergency repairs after normal working hours.
