Job Summary: The Plumbing Technician maintains, repairs, and installs all types of plumbing equipment, domestic water systems, sewer systems, and related devices. Performs preventative maintenance (PM) programs, inspections, and repairs; responds to emergency plumbing calls and maintains and repairs all natural gas services including valves. Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain plumbing equipment including, but not limited to, faucets, lavatories, toilets, flush valves, sinks, water heaters, drinking fountains, domestic water heaters and boilers, garbage disposals, backflow devices, valves and water meters and sewer drain cleaning for commercial and residential customers. • Install new plumbing fixtures including, but not limited to, sinks, toilets, urinals, faucets, drinking fountains, garbage disposals, domestic water heaters and related devices. • Perform skilled work operating and maintaining audio-visual and computer equipment used in the internal inspection of sanitary sewer lines and customer service lines. • Respond to emergency plumbing calls such as clogged drains, broken water lines, frozen pipes, gas odors and possible gas leaks. Evaluate situation and take proper corrective action. • Complete approved repairs, improvements, or installations within industry standard hours per repair pricing guide. • Complete all paperwork required by management and collect for work performed. • Contact the office following the completion of each call, providing requested information regarding the work completed, and await dispatch instructions for the next call. • Successful completion of criminal background and MVR check to company standard.
