Job Title: Commercial Construction Plumber Location: Lynchburg, VA Pay Rate: $25/hour Job Type: Contract Experience Required: 3+ years Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable and experienced Commercial Construction Plumber for contract work in Lynchburg, VA. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing codes, blueprints, and job site safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: • Install and repair piping systems for water, gas, and drainage in commercial buildings. • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing codes. • Cut, thread, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools. • Install fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and commercial-grade systems. • Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functionality. • Collaborate with other trades and site supervisors to meet project timelines. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial plumbing. • Proficient in working with PVC, copper, cast iron, and PEX piping. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plumbing schematics. • Strong understanding of local plumbing codes and OSHA safety standards. • Skilled in using plumbing tools and equipment. • Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with large-scale commercial construction projects. • Familiarity with medical gas systems or fire suppression plumbing (a plus). • OSHA 10 or 30 certification. • Journeyman or Master Plumber license (preferred but not required). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
