Service Plumbing Technician - Harrisonburg

Harrisonburg Service Plumbing Technician Specific Job Duties: Technical expertise in commercial and residential plumbing applications for this position is a MUST. Service Plumbing Technicians must be effective listeners with a strong ability to communicate with customers, often in tense or difficult situations. Must be adept and capable of working through complex issues through effective, timely troubleshooting, diagnostics, and use of tools and resources including collaborating with team members, owners, vendors, and manufacturer reps. Competently records and retains accurate time, materials, work order results, and customer interactions. Follows up on obligations to close out open work orders. Consummate professional who represents and upholds the Company reputation. • Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems at commercial and residential sites • Perform installation of plumbing systems at new properties as directed • Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at commercial and residential sites • Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems • Answer calls for plumbing issues from general contractors • Keep up to date with current safety regulations, requirements, and code (including applicable EPA) for the various plumbing systems the Company installs and maintains • Work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections • Communicate well with clients to ensure satisfaction and systems functionality • Communicate well with team members and fellow employees • Interact effectively, respectfully, and professionally with dispatch while carrying out prescribed daily job tasks • Keep detailed reports of work done at various job sites • Provide information regarding plumbing system upkeep to clients Education and Experience Requirements: • High school or trade school graduate or GED • 3 - 5 years of plumbing experience Schedule: • Full time role, 8 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday • On call rotation • Overtime availability (work dependent) • Some infrequent weekend work may be required Salary: $23.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Health, Dental, Vision insurance • Employee discount • Health Savings Account (HSA) • FREE $25,000 Life insurance coverage • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Paid referrals • Tuition reimbursement • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Annual health/wellness $200 reimbursement Supplemental pay types: • Bonus pay • Signing bonus (based on experience and qualifications)
