As a Cement Mason Lead/Foreman, you will be responsible for organizing and supervising the work of a crew on highway rehabilitation projects. Your expertise will ensure high-quality results that are essential for our community's infrastructure. Responsibilities: • Organize and coordinate the daily activities of the crew. • Prepare the worksite by setting up forms and ensuring proper layout. • Oversee the pouring and spreading of concrete using appropriate tools and equipment. • Ensure smooth and finished surfaces using hand or power tools. • Apply curing and sealing compounds as necessary. • Monitor the concrete curing process to ensure optimal results. • Conduct repairs, patching, and resurfacing of concrete surfaces as needed. • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations at all times. • Train and mentor crew members, ensuring they follow best practices and safety standards. • Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met. • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Cement Mason or in a similar role within the construction industry. • Proficiency in concrete placement, finishing, and repair techniques. • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and practices. • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to project sites as needed. • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions. • Excellent teamwork and communication skills. • Membership in Cement Masons and Plasterers Union.
