Responsibilities • Work with project engineers, field inspectors/project representatives, and contractors to monitor and manage the construction of a variety of municipal water, wastewater, water resources, utility, site development, and transportation projects. • Coordinate with internal and external team members, including project representatives and quality control technicians. • Attend, participate, and run various construction meetings with contractors and/or engineers, including pre-bid meetings, bid openings, preconstruction meetings, tailgate and safety meetings, weekly construction meetings, etc. • Receive and process various contract forms, including Notices of Award, Notices to Proceed, Performance and Payment Bonds, Change Orders, Shop Drawings and Submittals, Applications for Payment, Field Orders, and Work Change Directives, Notices of Substantial Completion, Final Acceptance Letters, Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Record Drawings, etc. • Develop and monitor project scope, budget, schedule, and project delivery plans. • Prepare construction cost estimates and quantity take-offs for projects. Qualifications • Seven years of experience (ten+ years preferred) managing construction for water, wastewater, water resources, transportation, and/or other infrastructure projects for public entities (cities, counties, ports, districts, etc.). • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is desired, but experience in this field is acceptable. • Experience with public speaking and building relationships with clients, the public, regulatory agencies, and contractors. • Experience developing work agreements and task orders and experience delivering projects on time and within budget. • Applicants must have a valid driver's license and must agree to a background check.
