Construction Safety Manager- Concrete

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Construction Safety Manager-Concrete to oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs that promote a culture of safety within the organization. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of occupational health regulations, and the ability to effectively communicate safety standards to all team members. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs, protocols, and policies. • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory requirements. • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken. • Lead accident/incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive measures. • Provide safety training and education for employees, subcontractors, and supervisors. • Maintain up-to-date documentation on safety inspections, incident reports, training, and regulatory compliance. • Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related communications and emergency response planning. • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and contractors to ensure safety is integrated into project planning and execution. • Monitor and track safety performance metrics and prepare reports for executive leadership. • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging safety technologies. • Lead and maintain our Apprenticeship Program. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • 5+ years of experience in construction safety management including experience in a leadership role. • OSHA 30-hour current construction certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months; OSHA 500 preferred. • First Aid/CPR certification preferred. • Extensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, federal, state, and local safety regulations, with a proven track record of compliance and enforcement. • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team environment. • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with all levels of internal staff, vendors, subcontractors, and other business partners. • Ability to train and motivate teams on safety protocols. • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Knowledge and experience with construction software and technology (Procore and Microsoft Office) preferred. • Bilingual- English and Spanish (preferred) Work Conditions: • Primarily field-based with office responsibilities. • Exposure to construction environments, including weather conditions, noise, and machinery. • Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods and navigate jobsites in all phases of construction.
