Construction General Foreman

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and reliable Construction General Foreman to assist with a variety of tasks on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, detail-oriented, and able to perform a variety of manual labor duties while following safety regulations. Knowledge of construction processes and ability to read blueprints is preferred. Candidates must have the ability to work efficiently and reliably with minimum supervision. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the setup and cleanup of construction sites and work areas. • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed. • Dig trenches, backfill holes, and perform other tasks requiring physical labor. • Operate basic construction tools and machinery under supervision. • Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians) in their work. • Ensure the job site remains clean, organized, and free of hazards. • Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures. • Assist in transporting materials and equipment around the job site. • Perform other general duties as needed to support the overall project. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. • Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently. • Ensure that all work is completed to quality standards and within specified timeframes. • Follow safety guidelines and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment. • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in good condition. Qualifications: • Previous experience in labor or construction is required. • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more). • Proficiency with construction tools and equipment is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to follow directions and work both independently and part of a team. • Good communication skills and a positive attitude. • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications: • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus. • Experience in framing, cabinetry, and finish carpentry. • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety practices. • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings. Physical Requirements: • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods. • Ability to work in various weather conditions. • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and use power tools.
