Description Construction Laborer Job Description • *Position:** Construction Laborer • *Location:** Varies (Project-Based Travel May Be Required) • *Department:** Construction • *Employment Type:** Full-time Job Summary The Construction Laborer supports construction crews by performing a variety of manual labor tasks at building and infrastructure sites. The Laborer must be able to follow directions, ask questions when needed, and learn on the job. A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to assist other personnel are essential. Professional conduct and productivity must be maintained throughout the workday. Duties • Unload tools, prepare building site materials, and set up equipment. • Ensure proper use of PPE, including headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing. • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) development and review. • Follow project instructions provided by the construction manager or supervisor. • Direct traffic safely around construction or maintenance sites (spotting). • Perform duties as a Firewatch, when required. • Maintain a positive attitude and provide quality customer service. • Assist equipment operators, riggers, and skilled labor personnel when necessary. • Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards. • Load and unload construction materials. • Assemble and disassemble temporary structures such as scaffolding. • Remove, fill, or compact earth and materials as needed. • Be open and ready to learn from on-the-job training.
