We are seeking a highly skilled Master Electrician to lead and oversee electrical installations for a new commercial construction project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, installing, and maintaining electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes. This role requires strong leadership abilities to supervise electrical teams and coordinate with other construction professionals to ensure project success. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee and execute electrical installations in commercial new construction projects from start to finish. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate system installations. • Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), state, and local regulations. • Perform inspections and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure functionality, safety, and adherence to project specifications. • Supervise and train electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship. • Plan and coordinate electrical work schedules, materials, and manpower requirements. • Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain efficient workflow. • Conduct tests on electrical systems and components to detect and resolve malfunctions. • Maintain detailed records of work completed, including permits, inspections, and compliance documentation. • Ensure all work is completed safely, following OSHA and company safety guidelines. Qualifications & Requirements: • Master Electrician License (State-issued, valid, and in good standing). • 1+ years of experience as a Master Electrician, preferably in commercial new construction. • Extensive knowledge of NEC, local codes, and industry best practices. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents. • Proficient in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic devices. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • OSHA 10 certification. Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of construction inspector experience. • Shall have a broad knowledge and experience in construction administration including detail duties and responsibilities of construction inspector throughout the various types of Navy inspection organizations, such as ROICC, public works, naval construction forces. Items dealt with include: Contract management, planning for contract compliance and safety, turnover and acceptance of work, damages, claims, labor standards and standards of conduct. • Ability to pass a background check.
